It's been hard around here lately. There is little work to do and the cold keeps us inside. There is no snow to play in and after reading over two thousand pages so far in 2008, even reading cannot stave off the boredom for long. I know I should be glad for the slow pace, but it wears on me. I have been fighting a bad attitude by looking forward to a trip to Prague and Krakow next week.

This morning however, was lovely. It was warm enough to have my tea on my tiny balcony as I watched our little city wake up. Looking down on all the fur hats and packs of stray dogs and mountains in the distance made me take a moment's pause and just be glad I'm here right now. All this time helps me to think and pray in preparedness to reenter American culture.
What a way to start the day :)
